Hi! I’m Deb Boots, a wedding photographer based in the Western Suburbs of Sydney that services Camden and the Macarthur region.

I grew up in the good old western suburbs of Sydney, however, for the past 11 years I’ve been living interstate and where I began shooting weddings full time 8 years ago. Now Im back in Sydney’s west to photograph couples getting married at some of Western Sydney’s best venues located within the Camden, Campbelltown & Macarthur region. Yesss!

It’s normal for me to travel for weddings, having photographed Brisbane weddings, regional Queensland, Northern NSW, the Blue Mountains, as well as the occasional international wedding.

The weddings I love to photograph are relaxed outdoor weddings. In the gardens of quaint homesteads, on country estates, intimate backyard gatherings or a marquee on a farm. I feel the area of Camden, Campbelltown and Macarthur region, even the South Coast and Southern Highlands offer the best locations in Sydney for that relaxed outdoor wedding vibe.

It’s not unusual for me to be photographing at venues I haven’t photographed at before. I actually enjoy this part of my job, it excites me exploring new places and drives my creativity.  The way I tackle this is by location scouting the wedding venue and surrounding area ahead of the wedding day, that way by the time the wedding day arrives, I will be familiar with the best photo locations around your venue.

We can’t choose the weather on a wedding day, otherwise we’d all have beautiful golden sunny days. I love the challenges a wedding day throws at me and overcoming those challenges. Over the 8 years Ive been shooting weddings, Ive had to deal with wet wedding days, things not going to plan, families that don’t get along, so not much phases me. Im patient and know how to keep my cool in stressful situations. My years of experience means I will achieve great photos no matter what is thrown my way.

I can’t wait to share with you some Southern Highlands & Macarthur weddings I have booked in for the upcoming 2018 Spring/Summer wedding season. Below are some of my favourite weddings to give you a feel of how I photograph weddings, including my favourite outdoor country weddings.

My approach is unobtrusive, yet friendly focusing on capturing candid meaningful moments as they happen. No fake smiles! But Im not afraid to step in and direct to capture natural intimate portraits.

Please have a wonder through my wedding photography portfolio, read some past couples reviews and Ive even answer most couples FAQS here.

If this sounds like how you picture your wedding day, please contact me for pricing and check availability.

“WARNING: if you want conventional, stiff and lifeless photos, Deb is not the photographer for you! :) My husband (still love saying that!) and I are so glad we chose Deb as our wedding photographer! From our first meeting, we knew she was ‘”the one.” Deb is warm, funny and so so friendly. My husband in particular is a bit camera-shy, so the fact she and her second-shooter Terri were able to allow us to relax, and capture so many wonderful moments of us is so special. We loved every single shot of our wedding photos – they really do tell a story of our day! She has a knack of capturing people’s emotions during the day, not just of us, but of our wonderful guests! Deb is not only a fantastic photographer, but also so generous – we moved overseas shortly after our wedding, but Deb still sent us our beautiful wooden box with the USB all the way to the UK! How is that for service?? So thank you once again, Deb, you are amazing :)”

“Oh my goodness! They are so beautiful!! We have already watched the highlight reel about 10 times over! We just love them! In every photo everyone just looks so happy, you have captured the day perfectly!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”

From the research and scouting Ive done so far, many of the wedding venues have beautiful grounds on their property already. Like Burnham Grove Estate in Camden, Harrington Grove Country Club, Camden Valley Inn, Ottimo House in Campbelltown, Eschol Park House or maybe a venue with historic rustic charm such as Belgenny Farm or Gledswood Homestead & Winery.

Campbelltown and Camden in the Macarthur region still retain that natural country environment making for a stunning backdrop to your wedding photos, but all within an hours drive from Sydney.

In the Macarthur area the Mount Annan Botanic Gardens, the historic buildings in Campbelltown’s Queen Street, Camden wineries or Argyle Street in Camden, and country farms between Camden and Picton.
