Elise & Kieran’s engagement session at the Watagan Pine Forest an hour from Newcastle hidden in the NSW Central Coast mountains was an adventure, and we hadn’t even started. The winding dirt road into the pine forest was a little bumpy but so worth the drive.
Golden light was filtering through the tips of the pine trees creating the most beautiful natural light for photos. We basically had the forest to ourselves. We wandered through the stunning wilderness with pinecone needles under our feet, taking advantage of this natural wonder. Nature even creating a swing for the two lovebirds.
This session was during winter and fortunately, we had a beautiful sunny day with blue skies. Even still, I scheduled the session earlier than I normally would because the sun would disappear behind the trees earlier than sunset, just something to consider if you’re having an engagement session in a forest.
I can’t wait to catch up with Elise & Kieran in a few months time for their Central Coast wedding.
