Turning Your Backyard Man-Cave Into A Cool Wedding Venue
When Hanna & James came to me when planning their wedding and said they were having it in their backyard, I have to be honest, I didn’t have any clue it would be this cool.
When a family’s backyard has a shed the size of the garage that could house 30+ cars plus garden space, we aren’t talking your average household backyard – the shed alone was a massive space.
There man-cave is every boy, man and even some women’s dreams come true. Naturally, they changed it up for the wedding to accommodate seating for guests with some gorgeous antique chairs, room for the live band and planning a cocktail-style reception for mingling and canapes meant there was plenty of space. Plus the vintage caravan bar made for a perfect setup.
I know you are all waiting to hear about the cool skate ramp! Yes they have their own skate ramp! When I headed down to see their backyard wedding venue before the big day, I just knew my one goal was to capture a cool shot of the bride and groom on the skate ramp in their wedding clothes.
While no-one ever plans for it to rain on their wedding day, which it did, it was the perfect space for an outdoor wedding. The garage awning spanning the outdoor area even keep everyone dry during the ceremony and evening reception.
