First wedding of the year and it went off only like weddings should, one big epic celebration! Take a couple in love, a sunny Queensland day, an awesome reception venue and the couple’s closest family and friends for the newlyweds to celebrate this special occasion with. A big congratulations to Kirsty & Drew who were married last Saturday at the new Brisbane wedding venue, Sandstone Point Hotel.
I can’t wait to share more photos from Kirsty & Drew’s magical wedding day. But until then, Kirsty & Drew, have an awesome time on your honeymoon in Fiji. Deb xo
SANDSTONE POINT HOTEL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Sandstone Point Hotel is located on the road out to Bribie Island, about a 45 minute drive from Brisbane. The hotel overlooks Pumicestone Passage & Moreton Bay.
With unobstructed water frontage, surrounded by trees and a gentle breeze blowing off the ocean, the ceremony lawn provides a pretty backdrop for saying your vows.
The hotel offers a chilled out vibe with live music playing in the background, and a couple of choices of bars for your guests to enjoy a beverage, while I take the newlyweds and bridal party away for their wedding photos.
There are many great locations around Sandstone Point Hotel for the bridal portraits including the jetty. As well as inside, like the one pictured here of Kirsty & Drew against the rustic exposed brick walls.
We skipped out of the reception just after the sun had set to capture this romantic photo of Kirsty & Drew, so we could capture the Festoon lights strung up along the jetty. The added advantage was they could have a few moments alone together to take in the day.
Sandstone Point Hotel offers two reception spaces, the Pumicestone Room and The Cellar. Kirsty & Drew chose The Cellar to celebrate the evening celebrations. The Cellar Room is a rustic and intimate space with loads of ambiance.
