I’m Deb Boots, a wedding photographer that offers affordable wedding photography packages for garden weddings & ceremonies.
I love laid-back, elegant garden weddings. A touch of class but in a relaxed environment so both the couple and guests can enjoy the day.
I love the natural environment of a garden, particularly for outdoor ceremonies, because of the wide open spaces and pretty trees – especially those giant figtrees often seen in wedding pictures.
Gardens are my absolute favourite locations for wedding photos. I find photos in a garden easily have a feel of romance and elegance. Plus gardens are a photographer’s best friend – with most gardens offering some shade – shade is the best way to achieve that light & bright style to your wedding photos, often referred to as either fine art portraiture or a looks-like-film effect.
Sydney has a huge selection of gardens suitable for ceremonies. Choose from 12 locations at The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney – maybe the Bennelong Lawn or Australian Rockery Lawn which is walking distance to the Sydney Opera House, or pictures at the Figtree Lawn or Palm House would be amazing too. Centannial Parklands is just 10 minutes from the CBD, but set amongst wooded groves, open lawns and gardens, you would think you were in the country and not the middle of a big city. With a rich history in celebrating, Audley Dance Hall is a charming renovated historic dancehall in the Royal National Park just south of Sydney. Western Sydney brides you are going to love Springfield House or Fagan Park at Dural, Parramatta Park and Mount Annan Botanic Gardens.
Brisbane also caters for garden ceremonies. Some of my favourites are the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, Roma Street Parklands, Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens and Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens is a stunning garden weddings and ceremonies. Toowoomba being called the ‘garden city‘ is the location of one of Queensland’s best wedding venues, Gabbinbar Homestead, which offers garden weddings.
Being a natural light photographer, I am most at home capturing the beautiful bride and groom portraits under tree canopies as I mentioned above, and in a paddock of wild grass up to our knees, or a woodland forest.
My photography style would be described as a mix of fine art portraiture and wedding photojournalism to bring creativity to your wedding photos. The documentary style for the natural and candid photos capturing unscripted and fleeting moments. Fine art portraiture for the more stylised portraits, usually the romantic moments captured of the bride and groom, as well as beautiful images with the bridal party and family members.
Mostly, I love capturing photos of couples in love on the day when they marry their best friend. That are real genuine full of genuine emotions and unique for each couple.
