Traveling Wedding Photographer based in Sydney, NSW
While I began my full-time professional photography career in Brisbane back in 2010, in 2017 I moved back home to Sydney. I still continue to photograph weddings in South East Queensland – Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Byron Bay & Northern NSW but have also added Sydney, the region in between Sydney to Brisbane, along with country NSW. Basically I travel the East Coast of Australia documenting love stories.
As a Sydney based photographer, wedding photography locations include the greater Sydney area including Western Sydney, Camden & Macarthur region, the Hawkesbury, Northern Beaches to the Sutherland Shire. Plus the Blue Mountains, NSW South Coast (including Southern Highlands, Wollongong, Illawarra Region and the Sapphire Coast), NSW Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter Valley, Mid North Coast and Northern NSW including destination wedding hot spot Byron Bay.
Because I drive all over NSW regularly and love country weddings, there are no travel fees for NSW weddings. If you are getting married outside NSW, please get in touch as I love meeting people from all walks of life and discovering new places. Let’s chat!
Style & Approach To Wedding Photography
My style of wedding photography blends a natural, documentary approach with intimate portraits that focus on capturing personality and emotion with simple directions to keep the portraits as natural as possible. While capturing meaningful connections between the couple along with the relationships they have with their family and friends, plus all the little details. To understand the types of wedding photography read my blog post that further explores the different styles of wedding photography [ read more … ]
We will work together to create a wedding day timeline that assists in creating a relaxed environment for you and your guests. This will include discussing locations and lighting, which all play an important role in how your images will look. As your photographer, I want to create the best wedding photos and precious memories for each of my couples.
The wedding day flies by so quickly but a good photographer’s ability to tell stories through great photography will allow you to relive your big day.
Wedding Photography Coverage & Packages
Choose the number of hours of photography coverage depending on how much of the wedding day you want to be covered. We have wedding packages starting from as little as 5 hours through to all day photography coverage. To find out how much photography coverage you need on your wedding day, get a copy of our free wedding timeline guide [ click here ].
A good 50% or more of the work for a wedding photographer doesn’t begin until after the big day. While you are off on your honeymoon, I will select the best images and discard any duds (ie. blinking, etc) and personally edit each and every image that is delivered to my couple.
All wedding photography packages include high-resolution, print-quality digital images supplied in .jpg format. Your collection will include all images edited in beautiful colour plus a selection of photos in black & white. For more information and wedding photography pricing [ click here ]
Printing Your Photos & Wedding Albums
Most couples are satisfied to receive their wedding photos on a USB, but before you completely write off a wedding album, just take a peek at our wedding albums – they are no longer those huge heavy albums you need to wear white gloves to look throught and hide away in a cupboard. Plus you might think a little differently when you hear the cost of the album doesn’t come out of your pockets! Hang around and I will share a little secret on how you don’t have to pay a cent for your wedding album and avoid getting shit wedding gifts.
For me personally, there is no better way to view photos than in the printed format. If you are considering getting a wedding album, start with checking out my beautiful fine art wedding albums [ click here ]. The albums are handmade in Australia using archival inks for the printing and the highest quality materials for binding the album together, ensuring your memories will last a lifetime. Plus you are supporting the local Australian album manufacturing industry which Im sure passes on good karma juju.
The album design process is made easy for you. My process for designing albums is called pre-design. First I have you select your favourite 100 or so images from your online gallery. I then start the design for you so you aren’t overwhelmed with what to do with hundreds of photos. Through the design proofing process you have the ability to make changes, giving you absolute control over the photos that end up in the finished album. Plus the fun part, getting to choose from a range of materials and colours for the album cover to personalise your album. We can customise the album further by embossing the cover with your names or a beautiful quote – and there are even a few different colour foils to choose from for the embossing.
Seriously, albums are no longer the big brick type like what your parents or grandparents had! … Today’s albums are more like a contemporary art book – but don’t take my word for it, you need to see one to believe how beautiful these albums are … so head over and take a look at the wedding albums to satisfy your curiosity [ click here ].
I promised you a way where your album wouldn’t cost a cent right, so for those of you considering an album but not sure you have room in the wedding budget, listen to this … I have partnered up with Album Registry, a wedding gift registry service, whereby your family and friends contribute to the purchase of your album. That means the cost of the album doesn’t come out of your pockets. Your family and friends already want to gift you something to celebrate your marriage, so rather than them wasting money on something you don’t need or want (ie. the shit wedding gift), you are actually helping your family and friends contribute to a gift you will value for many years. Win Win right!
