JANDOWAE GOLF CLUB WEDDING
An elegant, rustic Australian bush wedding
Le-elle & Anthony
Le-Elle & Anthony always knew that one day they would always get married in their home town of Jandowae. Family is incredibly important to the two of them, being the place where Anthony grew up and Le-elle only a short distance away. The Jandowae Golf Club was the obvious choice for them to get married.
Le-elle & Anthony are all about supporting their local community too. They wanted to bring the celebration to the town and were excited to share a part of their world with their closest 150 family and friends.
We are all aware that the Australian farming community is doing it tough, so Le-elle & Anthony were happy when their wedding also brought outside revenue to the community. The pubs were full the night before with guests starting the celebrations early, the butcher supplied the meat to the pub for the rehearsal dinner and the morning-after breakfast, the grocery shops were visited to grab bread, milk, coffee, eggs, etc for 100+ for breakfast, accommodation was booked out, the golf club was almost drank dry and the grounds hired, and the hairdressers were flat out with the wedding party and family getting dolled up. Their wedding did a wonderful thing for the Jandowae community.
Continuing with the family and community spirit which rang right through the whole wedding, Le-elle’s Grandma made their wedding cake, the groom made the Arbour and seating chart, all the decorations were made by the Mother-of-the-Bride, the LOVE sign was made by the bride’s brother Rowan, and the guest signing picture book was made by the bride’s other brother Jaaron. Le-elle’s brothers also played the roles of wedding car driver and MC.
On the way to the wedding, the bridal car made a pitstop to go through the McDonalds drive-thru. Le-elle on her father’s arm walked down the aisle to Ed Sheeran’s song ‘This’ with the word LOVE spelt out in gigantic white letters behind them, just incase anyone wasn’t sure why there were there.
It was important to the newlyweds to spend time with their guests, so following the ceremony we allowed time for them to relax and mingle with guests during congratulations and family photos before heading into the next paddock for bridal party photos.
Then it was time to get the party started. Getting the formalities out of the way early in the evening allow for lots of time to mingle. Le-elle & Anthony’s first dance as husband and wife was to Tim McGraw’s song ‘My Best Friend’.
