SPICERS HIDDEN VALE WEDDING
Alice + Alex
Alice & Alex were married at Spicers Hidden Vale in Grandchester, Queensland. Their Spicers Hidden Vale wedding was one packed full of fun and laughs.
The Spicers Hidden Vale homestead is on a 12,000 acre cattle station in the Lockyer Valley. Offering sensational country landscapes with rolling green hills set amongst natural bushland. Just an hours drive from Brisbane, its a little country escape providing a relaxed, luxurious retreat for your special day.
The location is stunning and provides plenty of options for your wedding photos. There is no need to leave the property as you will see all of Alice & Alex’s wedding photos were on the Spicers property.
From little nooks and crannies of shade between the cottages, to the red dirt driveway lined with figtrees, to the bushland area bordering the accommodation, and the infinity pool.

Alice & Alex chose to have a first look session prior to the ceremony. The first look concept can polarise couples between either hating or loving the idea. If you don’t know what a first look session is, its where the couple choose to see each other before they say their vows. More traditional couples prefer for the first time the bride and groom see each other, is to be the moment the bride walks down the aisle. Whereas more and more modern couples are choosing the first look, where the couple see each other for the first time in an intimate, private setting. I have to say, these two were the perfect couple for a first look photo shoot. Their excitement to see one another, their reactions and emotions in having these intimate moments between just the two of them was beautiful to watch unfold in front of the camera.
GARDEN CEREMONY AT SPICERS HIDDEN VALE
The ceremony was held on one of the many sun-drenched lawn spaces with views of the beautiful country landscape as the backdrop. With Brisbane singer/songwriter Andy Ellem playing some sweet melodies for the guests. Gold Coast celebrant Rick Lay was there to make it all official.
Meet Luna. Luna is a barn owl and the ring bearer. A surprise the bride organised for the groom. Luna flew down the aisle to land on the best man’s gloved arm carrying the wedding rings. Thank you to Jason from Raptor Vision Birds of Prey for bringing Luna along – she stole the show. What a unique wedding idea!
MORE BRIDAL PORTRAITS AT SPICERS HIDDEN VALE
After the guests had time to congratulate the newlyweds, and downed a celebratory glass of champagne, the couple had photos with the bridal party. We then wandered the property as the sun was setting for more bridal portraits.
